Area residents impacted by the recent storms still have time to register for disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. FEMA Spokeswoman Angela Bryd says September 9th is the deadline to register for disaster assistance.
"September 9th is our registration deadline, so it's important for those that were impacted by the storm from April 29th to July 5th that they can still have time to register for disaster assistance with FEMA."
Bryd adds there are a few different ways to register for assistance.
"So we have a FEMA app that can be downloaded and they can register by the FEMA app. They can also call our 800 number which is 800-621-3362, or go online to disasterassistance.gov.
